Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. Learn how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you:

  • Create an account or use our services
  • Request a quote or contact us
  • Subscribe to our newsletter
  • Participate in surveys or promotional activities

Types of Information

  • Personal Information: Name, email address, phone number, company details
  • Shipping Information: Addresses, package details, tracking preferences
  • Payment Information: Billing address, payment method details
  • Usage Data: How you interact with our website and services

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and improve our logistics services
  • Process transactions and send confirmations
  • Communicate with you about your shipments
  • Send marketing communications (with your consent)
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Protect against fraud and unauthorized activities

3. Information Sharing

We may share your information with:

  • Service Providers: Third parties who assist in our operations
  • Shipping Partners: Carriers and logistics partners
  • Government Authorities: When required by law or customs regulations
  • Business Transfers: In connection with mergers or acquisitions

4. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

  • Encryption of sensitive data
  • Regular security assessments
  • Access controls and employee training
  • Secure data storage and transmission

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access and review your personal information
  • Request corrections to inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data (subject to legal requirements)
  • Opt-out of marketing communications
  • Lodge a complaint with data protection authorities

7. Cookies and Tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Remember your preferences
  • Analyze website performance
  • Provide personalized content
  • Enable social media features

You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences.

8. Our Mobile Application

The Ranisy Logistics mobile app is available to our clients and employees and requires an account issued by us in order to sign in. In addition to the information described above, the app may access the following on your device. Each of these is optional, is requested only when you first use the related feature, and can be withdrawn at any time in your device settings.

Location

With your permission, we access your device location when you record attendance, so that a check-in can be associated with a work site. Location is collected only at the moment you perform that action — we do not track your location in the background or when the app is closed.

Camera and Photos

With your permission, we access your camera and photo library so that you can attach documents and images to shipments, requests, and your profile. We access only the items you choose to attach.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, we store a device notification token so we can alert you to updates affecting your shipments, requests, approvals, and announcements. The token identifies your device installation, not you personally, and is deleted when you sign out or uninstall the app.

Biometric Sign-In

If you choose to enable fingerprint or face sign-in, verification is performed entirely by your device operating system. Your biometric data is never transmitted to us and we neither receive nor store it — the app is only told whether verification succeeded.

Analytics and Device Identifiers

We use Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to understand how the app is used and to diagnose crashes. This processes technical data such as device model, operating system version, app version, language, approximate region, and an advertising identifier provided by the operating system.

We do not display advertising in the app and we do not use this identifier for advertising or to build advertising profiles. It is collected because it is included by default in the analytics software we use. Diagnostic and usage data is processed in aggregate and is not used to identify you individually.

Data You Enter in the App

Depending on whether you sign in as a client or an employee, the app displays and stores information you and your organisation provide, including shipment and customs clearance records, invoices and financial statements, requests and enquiries, and — for employees — attendance records, payslips, leave requests, approvals, assigned tasks, and custody records. This information is handled under the same purposes, sharing rules, security measures, and retention periods set out in this policy.

Deleting Your App Data

You can request deletion of your account and associated app data by contacting us using the details below. Some records must be retained where customs, tax, or employment law requires it.

9. Communicating With Us on WhatsApp

When you contact Ranisy on our official WhatsApp number, we receive your messages through the WhatsApp Business Platform provided by Meta Platforms. We keep your phone number or WhatsApp account identifier, your profile name, the content of your messages, the images and documents you send, and message timestamps and delivery status.

We use this information only to answer your enquiries, follow up on your shipments and files with us, and send you updates about the services you use. Conversations are visible only to authorised Ranisy staff. We may use an AI service to answer general questions; any request specific to you is handed over to a member of our team.

We do not sell your WhatsApp data or share it with third parties for marketing. Meta processes messages under its own terms and privacy policy as the provider of the WhatsApp service.

10. Data Deletion Requests

You can ask us to delete your WhatsApp conversation data, your app account, or any other personal information we hold about you:

  • Email info@ranisy.com with the subject “Data deletion request” and the phone number or email address you used with us, or
  • Send “delete my data” to us on WhatsApp.

We will confirm that we received your request and complete it within 30 days. Some records, such as customs documents and invoices, must be kept where customs, tax, or employment law requires it.

11. International Transfers

As a global logistics company, we may transfer your information to countries outside your home country. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data during such transfers.

12. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on our website and updating the effective date.
